Induction hobs or cookers always produce a noise. Check whether your pans are suitable for induction cooking. If your pan is suitable but is a little older, the induction hob may produce more noise because the base of your pan has become uneven. Test whether a different pan causes the same noise.
Noise:
- Humming at high setting. The humming decreases or disappears as the setting is lowered.
- Whistling: when multiple cooking zones are in use simultaneously, and each cooking zone holds a pan with a base made of a different material.
- Clicking: with electronic circuits, especially at low settings.
