- Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance when using the igniter. Do not let yourself get distracted when using the igniter, because you could lose control of the device.
Personal safety
- Stay alert, look at what you are doing, and use common sense when using the igniter.
- Do not use the igniter if you are tired or under the influence of narcotics, alcohol, or medication. One brief moment of distraction while using the igniter may result in serious personal injury. Warning! There is a risk of injury caused by sparks coming off ignited wood and charcoal. Prevent sparks!
- The nozzle gets very hot. There is a risk of burns. Do not touch the nozzle before it has cooled down completely.
- Never point the hot air flow at people or animals.
- Do not use the igniter near flammable substances or gases.
- Never block the hot air flow by blocking or covering the air outlet.
- Always place the igniter on a level, fire-proof surface with the stand.
- Never leave the igniter unattended when it is turned on.
- Careless handling of the igniter may result in fire.
- Heat can be transferred to flammable materials that are covered.
- Keep the heat sink away from cinders.
- Make sure that the air inlets are never blocked.
- Do not immerse the igniter in water or any other liquid.
Using and maintaining the igniter.
- Unplug the power cord from the power supply before making any modifications, replacing accessories, or storing the igniter. Such safety precautions will reduce the risk of the igniter being activated accidentally.
- Store the igniter out of the reach of children and do not let anyone who is not familiar with the igniter and these instructions use the igniter.
- Check for incorrect placement or attachment of moving parts, breakage of parts, and possible other circumstances that may affect the use of the igniter. Warning Do not allow familiarity with this product to make you careless and easily distracted. Always remember that one brief moment of distraction is enough to inflict serious injury. Make sure that the air inlets and air outlets are always clean and free from dirt. Clean the igniter using a cotton cloth when it has cooled down and has been unplugged. Never use turpentine, paint thinner, benzene or other flammable or combustible substances to clean the igniter. This is both unnecessary and dangerous.
Electrical safety

- Do not expose the igniter to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the igniter increases the risk of electric shock.
- Do not misuse the power cord. Never carry the igniter by the power cord and never unplug the igniter by pulling on the power cord. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, and moving parts. Damaged or tangled power cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- Do not expose the igniter to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the igniter increases the risk of electric shock.
- Do not throw away this instruction manual. Consult these instructions regularly and use them to instruct others who (may) also use the igniter. When lending this tool to someone, also give them these instructions to prevent improper use of the product and possible injuries.
Assembly safety

Using and handling the battery
Charge the battery only using the specific charger that comes with the igniter. A charger that is not specifically intended for a certain battery can cause a hazard or fire. Keep the battery away from metal objects when not in use. Metal objects such as paper clips, coins, keys, and screws may cause a short circuit in the battery. A short circuit in the battery may lead to it catching fire or causing a fire. If the battery has been inserted into the device, the device can be easily activated. Beware of the potential hazards of this igniter when it is not in use or when replacing accessories of the device. Follow all the instructions in this manual to minimize the risk of electric shock, fire, or injury. Do not drop the battery and do not damage the battery in any way. Do not use the battery if it has been damaged or you think it might be damaged. A damaged battery may explode. Make sure that a damaged or dropped battery is processed in the appropriate manner by a waste processor and do not use it anymore. Do not charge the battery in wet or humid conditions. The risk of electric shock increases in wet or humid conditions. For the best charging result, charge the battery at temperatures between 10°C and 30°C. In order to minimize the risk of injury, do not store the battery and device outdoors or in vehicles. The battery may leak in extreme conditions or at extreme temperatures. If fluid leaking out of the battery comes into contact with your skin, wash it off immediately and thoroughly with water and soap. If the leaking fluid ends up in your eye, rinse your eye for at least 10 minutes and then immediately contact a medical specialist to reduce the risk of long-term injury. Keep this manual and regularly read it completely. Instruct others who use this device to also read this manual in its entirety. When lending this device to someone, make sure every user reads the manual to prevent improper use and injuries.
How to disconnect the battery
1. Turn off the device completely.
2. Press the two ‘buttons’ on either side of the battery.
3. Pull the battery from the device. To install the battery, follow the above steps in reverse order.
