This article explains how to use the PRO 900 IX PRO 1000 IX PRO 1200 IX by Boretti.
For optimal absorption of fumes or vapours, run the appliance for about 5 minutes before and after cooking food; for preparations that produce little steam, use the lower speed. The second speed is for sustained cooking, grilling and frying. The third is indicated for cooking with a high emission of grease and steam. IMPORTANT: NEVER FLAMBÉ FOOD UNDER THE APPLIANCE Never leave open flames under the hood while it is operating. Frying requires constant supervision, as overheated oil can ignite and cause a fire in the hood. To obtain good extraction efficiency, we recommend programming a period of intensive operation at the start of cooking. This will create an airflow that will capture the first fumes or vapours as they appear. This intensive speed will automatically switch off 10 minutes after it starts. This function can be stopped by pressing the 5 button (intensive speed) again. After 100 hours of operation, the flashing of Led F indicates that the metal filters need cleaning (see maintenance section). This alarm signal is only active when the fan motor is running. After 200 hours of operation, the flashing of Leds F & C indicates that the charcoal filters need replacing and the metal filters need cleaning. To activate the charcoal filter saturation indication function, the light must be off and the motor stopped. Press the (+) button for 10 seconds: 1 flash of Leds F and C = function deactivated. 2 flashes of Leds F and C = function activated. To access the reset of the filter saturation indication function, the light must be off and the motor stopped. Press the (+) button for 3 to 4 seconds. The flashing of Leds F and C will confirm the reset. The procedure for replacing the cartridge is indicated in paragraph 3 (Recycling). Caution, the remote control must be equipped with standard alkaline batteries: LR003-AAA, 1.5V as described in Fig. 9. These batteries should ensure optimum long-term use. These batteries must be positioned correctly, they may explode if damaged or exposed to heat. Never throw in fire.
