- Keep the work area clean and adequately illuminated.
- Untidy or dark work areas can lead to accidents.
- Do not use the igniter in explosive environments, such as near flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance when using the igniter. Do not let yourself get distracted when using the igniter, because you could lose control of the device.
- Stay alert, look at what you are doing, and use common sense when using the igniter.
- Do not use the igniter if you are tired or under the influence of narcotics, alcohol, or medication. One brief moment of distraction while using the igniter may result in serious personal injury. Warning! There is a risk of injury caused by sparks coming off ignited wood and charcoal. Prevent sparks!
- The nozzle gets very hot. There is a risk of burns. Do not touch the nozzle before it has cooled down completely.
- Never point the hot air flow at people or animals.
- Do not use the igniter near flammable substances or gases.
- Never block the hot air flow by blocking or covering the air outlet.
- Always place the igniter on a level, fire-proof surface with the stand.
- Never leave the igniter unattended when it is turned on.
- Careless handling of the igniter may result in fire.
- Heat can be transferred to flammable materials that are covered.
- Keep the heat sink away from cinders.
- Make sure that the air inlets are never blocked.
- Do not immerse the igniter in water or any other liquid.
- Keep the work area clean and adequately illuminated.

- Do not expose the igniter to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the igniter increases the risk of electric shock.
- Do not misuse the power cord. Never carry the igniter by the power cord and never unplug the igniter by pulling on the power cord. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, and moving parts. Damaged or tangled power cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- When using the igniter outdoors, also use an extension cord for outdoor use. Using a power cord that is designed for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock. Use the battery only with the indicated charger.
- Do not expose the igniter to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the igniter increases the risk of electric shock.
- Do not throw away this instruction manual. Consult these instructions regularly and use them to instruct others who (may) also use the igniter. When lending this tool to someone, also give them these instructions to prevent improper use of the product and possible injuries.
