Congratulations on the purchase of your new barbecue. We are convinced that you, with your passion for barbecuing and the outdoor lifestyle, will transform an average summer evening into a beautiful buona sera and your garden into a giardino. Squadra Boretti Please read this manual carefully and keep it stored for future reference! This manual contains specific instructions for your safety, and for the assembly, operation and maintenance of your barbecue. Only use the barbecue as described in these instructions. Exercising good judgement and being careful when operating is an absolute must!

This barbecue will become very hot, do not move it during operation. WARNING! Do not use indoors! WARNING! Do not use spirit or petrol for lighting or re-lighting! Use only firelighters complying to EN 1860-3! WARNING! Keep children and pets away! DO NOT use the barbecue in a confined and/or habitable space e.g. houses, tents, caravans, motor homes, boats. anger of carbon monoxide poisoning fatality

Important safety information, pleas read this manual carfully and keep it stored for future reference! Important:

  • Before the first use, carefully read all the information in this manual.
  • Never let children or pets near this barbecue.
  • This barbecue may never be operated by children, people with an intellectual disability, or people under the influence of drugs and/or medication.
  • Always keep as much distance as possible when starting and operating this barbecue.
  • It is imperative to use the supplied gas pressure regulator. If you replace the gas pressure regulator, the replacement must comply with the EN 16129 standard. The gas pressure of the gas pressure regulator must correspond to the gas pressure stated on the model label.
  • Ensure that the gas hose does not bend during assembly (of the gas pressure regulator).
  • Ensure that the gas tap of the gas cylinder is accessible, so that you can shut off the gas supply to the barbecue.
  • Change the gas cylinder in an area where there are no ignition sources.
  • The gas cylinder can be placed underneath the barbecue. This does not apply to a table-top barbecue.
  • Extinguish all flames and DO NOT SMOKE while opening the gas tap and starting the barbecue.
  • This barbecue becomes very hot, please exercise extreme care and pay attention when using it.
  • If you smell gas, make sure that all gas connections are tightened before using the barbecue. If after that you still smell gas, close the gas tap and contact the store where you bought the barbecue immediately.
  • Always keep flammable and/or combustible substances, gases, liquids, and materials away from the barbecue and never let them come in direct contact with the barbecue.
  • Failure to follow and/or incorrectly following the instructions, precautions, safety precautions and warnings contained in this manual may result in fire or explosion, material damage, and may even result in serious physical injury or death.
  • The barbecue is meant for household use and is only meant for the preparation of food. Warning:
  • Do not start the barbecue if you smell gas!
  • Check the gas hose for cracks or wear (see: GAS LEAK TEST).
  • Keep your face and body as far away from the barbecue as possible when starting the barbecue.
  • Do not use spirit, petrol or other flammable liquids to ignite or to re-ignite the barbecue! Only use igniters that comply with EN 1860-3!
  • Use firelighters or a barbecue lighting fluid to ignite the fire.
  • Only use firelighters or a barbecue lighter fluid that meets the legal standard and always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • After the charcoal has turned red-hot, wait 30 minutes before the meat can be prepared.
  • Never add flammable and/or combustible fluids to warm or hot charcoal/briquettes. This could cause a flame jet, which can result in physical injury and/or material damage.
  • Be careful with adding charcoal/briquettes to an existing fire. A jet flame can result in physical injury and/or material damage.
  • f the grease trap is missing in addition to the ash collector (if applicable), you may never use the barbecue. This appliance must be kept away from flammable materials during use.
  • Make sure all buttons are in the “OFF” position.
  • Always open the lid before starting the barbecue.

Lighting the burners with a match extender (if present)

  • The burner can also be ignited with the help of a match into the extender, if the barbecue is equipped with one. Open the gas supply.
  • Keep your face as far away from the barbecue as possible and move the match extender through the openings in the grills to the burner.
  • Position the match extender near the burner openings and press and turn the control button to the “HIGH” position. Please note: If you are unable to start the barbecue after having tried a while, contact the store where you bought the barbecue.
