What is the difference between a carbon filter and a plasma filter?

Carbon filters and plasma filters are a crucial part of maintaining and ventilating your cooker hood when the hood is recirculating.

A carbon filter filters cooking fumes and blows clean air back into your kitchen. The difference between a carbon filter and a plasma filter is that plasma technology goes one step further.

A plasma filter is an air cleaning device with its own plug with the important added benefit that plasma technology ensures a healthy indoor environment; free of odours, pollen and bacteria. A carbon filter needs to be replaced every 4-6 months, and a plasma filter, on the other hand, does not. It does not lose performance and therefore does not need to be replaced which is more economical in the long run.
