- The charcoal filter is not installed correctly. Air passes along the sides of the carbon filter, causing noise;
- The diameter of the extraction hose is too small, it should at least have the same diameter as the connection to the motor, 120 mm - 150 mm;
- The carbon filter is saturated. This will occur over time. Because of this, less air passes through than with a new filter and the extractor hood will produce more noise. A solution could be to use a plasma filter, which not only works better, but also offers a silent performance.
